Happy Monday!

Welcome to another edition of the Marquet Films newsletter - the most professional, highly serious publication you’ll read all week.

Now let’s talk about balls. Specifically, Anthony’s Balls. It’s a short film we shot a month or so ago which is soon to be released. I wrote this film as an homage to my own experiences with my friends and how stupid our arguments can sometimes be. We made this film to try something different, something not-so-serious to our usual works.

SO, while Adrien and our editor Nathan were going through the final cuts a few weeks back, Nathan asked an important question: What font are we going to use to encapsulate such a rich and important story? The font of course being a necessary part of the title card and our various credits.

Adrien and Nathan scoured the internet far and wide to find the perfect font but alas, nothing felt like the smooth balls which were Anthony’s. Nathan then proposed searching for “scrotum fonts” and maybe that would guide their search. Suddenly, on Google Images, the perfect font was found called Dr. Pecker.

Adrien tried finding the Dr. Pecker font on our usual font websites, but the artist who created it simply wasn’t giving it away (it wasn’t even on his own website!). Adrien decided to take things into his own hands and emailed the artist with a request and a cut of the film he could watch. Adrien said something along the lines of “Please let me know your thoughts and if it [Anthony’s Balls] is worthy of your penis font.” The kind gentleman quickly responded to us, “My penis font weeps tears of pride. I couldn’t imagine a better home for it!” and he kindly sent us his font with each letter shaped like a penis with balls on it.

(A sneak peak of the font can be found in our thumbnail if you selected Read Online and are viewing this on a browser!)

Now, in our grasp we have a penis shaped font which we will be using for Anthony’s Balls and it just goes to show what the process of collaborative creativity is all about.

We felt this was one of the first personal stories we should share to our newsletter and you can expect more experiences like this as the weeks go by.

Feel free to let your friends know about the Marquet Films Newsletter as we continue to work toward our filmmaking dreams, one penis font at a time.

Gently,

Pat and the Marquet Films Team!
