Happy Monday!

I KNOW! We’re late! Give me a break, man. We screened a film at the TIFF Next Wave Festival last night and I was in no state to whip out the laptop and start writing before 8:30 AM.

So let’s get into it.

What a wild ride it’s been with Anthony’s Balls. If you’ve been following along, this film has had so many twists and turns. From it starting out with an embarrassing script that I didn’t want us to make, to the scrotum font, to the audio person search, to the editing, to getting into TIFF.

The night started when our close friend and creative collaborator, Cheverny Baluca, pulled up and made some fantastic shirts for all of us. You can find a picture of all of us in today’s thumbnail.

The shirts were a hit and even had someone during the Q&A ask if we sell these shirts anywhere. So for anyone interested…please stay tuned.

There were so many excellent films at the showcase that ranged from animations, to experimental films, where some were 1 minute and others up to 13. It showcased incredible feats of talent and we were absolutely honoured to be amongst the rest of these talented filmmakers.

But our film…what did people think?

I’ll be honest with you guys, we were nervous. Were people going to laugh? Were they going to pass out from seeing balls? Well. People laughed, and they laughed quite a bit. I’m not gonna toot our own horn but seeing the film in the theatre and all the reactions from the shots, to the punchlines, and the shock factor was all worth it.

We were super proud of the reactions and couldn’t be more excited to showcase the film on the big screen.

Afterwards, Adrien had the opportunity to go on stage after the films were screened. He answered Q&A questions - talked about the balls experience and pretty PR trained all things considered. I’m proud of the guy :’)

Once TIFF Next Wave finished, we took our friends, family, filmmakers, to an afterparty at PJ O’Brien’s. Shoutout to Michael Molloy for helping us arrange the venue and allowing us to celebrate with everyone.

All in all, we want to thank everyone who has been supporting us and joining our wild balls ride for all that it’s been. We’ve got plenty more balls content to share in the coming weeks so this trip ain’t over! In fact, we might only be getting started.

Balls Forever,

Pat and the Marquet Films team
