We made a movie about balls. Anthony’s Balls!
Okay, that’s not necessarily the announcement but you will surely hear about it quite frequently if you follow our socials (patrick.smietanka and marquetfilms on Instagram).
I wrote this short film back in the summer. Adrien felt it was a breath of fresh air and very light in comparison to some of our heavier-toned films that will be releasing this year. It was an opportunity to highlight a situation that both men and women deal with in this digital age.
Now, the ACTUAL announcement. In the coming weeks, we will be releasing an extensive amount of content revolving around this short comedy film in a plethora of ways. Oh, and don’t forget to see what we recommend this week at the bottom!
First: More Short Form Content
Adrien and I have spent an extensive amount of planning around ideas for vertical reels that help promote the kind of film, Anthony’s Balls really is. You’ll be seeing quite a few sketches, skits, and other goofy pieces of content throughout March until the lead up to the film’s release, April 1st on a variety of platforms.
Second: Ball-Related Newsletters
Yes, in the coming weeks expect lots of behind-the-scenes stories around our film. From crazy unexpected moments, to absurd marketing-related strategies and more, we’ll be coming at you every Monday with Anthony’s Balls content.
Third: Anthony’s Balls Screening!
This one we’re extra excited for, but we will be announcing a social screening entirely for FREE in Toronto for Anthony’s Balls. The catch? You need to be named Anthony. We’ll be putting on a free event for anyone in Toronto and the surrounding GTA who would like to come downtown to see the film surrounded by their new friends, all named Anthony. More information to come!
Fourth: The Anthony’s Balls Documentary!
We really went above and beyond for this film (for some reason) and we had a very talented filmmaker help us with a fully documented video surrounding the making of Anthony’s Balls. This includes interviews, funny moments, and a ton of absolute stupidity that came from us making this film.
Fifth: Anthony’s Balls Onlyfans (highlight to reveal)
We’re going to be releasing a Onlyfans account for all the pictures of balls you can want. Wait, I can’t talk about this yet?
So yeah! We really are going the distance with a film that I felt was the dumbest script I’ve ever written. For that reason, it also seems to be incredibly marketable. We’re super excited to bring you guys along and because you’re all subscribed to this newsletter - you get the information FIRST!
